About us..

Rotherham and District model flying club is over 40 years old. Over the
years the club has used several flying fields but has been based at its
current site in Braithwell since 1994.

We are a small club with a maximum of
40 members per year however, places are
normally available. We predominately fly
fixed wing I.C or electric powered models.

We offer full training to any new member
wishing to take up flying to the
British Model Flying Associations ‘A’ certificate level. All training is
carried out by the clubs BMFA registered instructors.

Our field is available for use every day from 10 am but flying times are usually Saturday and Sunday from 1.30pm onwards . We stop IC power flying at 5pm on Sundays but electric and silent flight is still permitted.
During the summer months we also fly on Wednesday afternoons after
the grass is cut!
